Website Design for Avon Institute

Overview of Breast Cancer in Brazil’s SUS

OVERVIEW

The Overview of Breast Cancer in Brazil’s Unified Health System (Panorama do Câncer de Mama) makes available data from Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS), as well as display relevant information on breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment that otherwise would be accessible throught a 20+ page long PDF study.

The previous portal wasn't responsive and needed improvement on the navigation flow and overall experience. The client requirements were aiming mainly for a fresh website identity and for the user to have a good experience.

The home page provides an overview that invites the user to explore more granular data on inner pages

The main goal of the platform is to highlight data from Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) and treatment to support new public health policies related to the topic.

The content was curated to fulfill the needs of Government Managers, Health Professionals and Patient Association NGOs. The general public wasn't an aimed userbase due to the technical nature of the curated data provided.

As the Lead Designer of this project, some of the work involved creating a refreshed visual identity (aligned with Avon's brand guidelines), restructuring the narrative flow, content, and navigation, enhancing the overall user flow, all while taking into account the mobile experience.

As DataViz specialists, we also curated the already existent data objects to ensure maximum readability while also adding new ones to meet our client's needs.
